Deliverables from the Sample Applications Working Group

The Sample Applications Working Group defines illustrative scenarios that would benefit from interoperable Web services applications and designs sample applications that demonstrate the application of the WS-I profiles to those scenarios. The sample applications can be downloaded to try out. They are available under the sample application license.

The Sample Application presents a high-level, interoperable example of a supply chain management application in the form of a set of Use Cases that demonstrate use of Web services that conform to the Basic Profile 1.0. Note that the Nokia Sample Application has just been developed and is currently at the Board Approval Draft status.

Usage Scenarios define the use of Web services in structured interactions, identifying basic interoperability requirements for such interactions and mapping the flow of a scenario to the requirements of the Basic Profile 1.0. Usage Scenarios are independent of any application domain.
